Abstract:

This dataset is a graphic representation of the 2007 Laramie County Fire and Tax Districts.  Scale limitations of original source data make viewing of data consistent at a scale of 1:24000 for rural areas and 1:4800 for platted areas.  Boundaries are updated on a yearly basis from legal boundaries provided by each fire and tax district.

Purpose:

The intention of this dataset is to represent the Laramie County Fire and Tax district boundaries in a graphical database for general purposes query and display.  It in no way represents actual field measurements of assessed property.

The information contained in this file is 90% accuracy rating for positional display of graphical information.  Every effort is made to verify database accuracy in relation to graphical display.

Logical consistency report:

Tests for logical consistency are performed using vendor software.  Polygon topology for this dataset is verified prior to distribution and continuously throughout the maintenance process.  Information display at 1:2400 for city areas and 1:24000 for all rural areas.

Completeness report:

This information is complete as of January 1.  Changes that occur to the boundaries through the process of annexation are not recognized as an assessment change until the next year.

The original digital files used in the creation of this dataset were supplied by the City of Cheyenne Engineering Department and Laramie County Engineering Department.
